Keeping deremensis together

Anyone doing this?
Housing pairs or groups together?
Any thoughts on it or experiences will be interesting information.
I know the ADCHAM information .... most of that is so old though ... I want to know what people are doing now and any success/failure stories with this species.
Fabian, I would love to have your input here.

Hi Brad,

depends on how early you put them together and what's very important: Is the female gravid or not. Gravid females are extremly aggressive towards everything.
From my experience it's for a long term success better to keep them 9/10 of the year seperated. But with most Trioceros species it's as well a question of the individual character of the specimen

Best regards
Benny

Thanks Benny.
I believe you make a very good point about individual specimens.
It seems with most in this genus, there are varying degrees of success with this practice and some keepers who would not advocate trying it at all.

Brad,
I kept a pair together for 5 months, after she became gravid she let everyone know and was removed right away. The first 5 months they ate side by side and even slept close. These were a wild caught pair and I had them in a 2x2x4 cage. I tried the same with another pair and it didn't work out. Stress levels were high right from the beginning. This pair never did breed but she did breed with one of my other males. The first guy must have had the wrong pick up line.
