Congrats on the beautiful baby! It's sad that you had to do that to get the eggs out. I've had to do it a few times too and it's worth it when you get offspring from the dead Mommy.
It's amazing how big the eggs are isn't it? When I saw the size of the six K. Uthmoelleri one of my females laid I couldn't believe it. I truly believe that the life spans of Uthie females is one to two clutches at the most. The size of the eggs in relation to the body is just too much. The eggs with Uthies are not downsized proportionally to the size of the species. It looks like the K. Tenuis species is similar in that regard.

Thank you, and yes it is amazing on the size of the eggs. After she died I was cleaning out her cage and found a dried egg. So she must have been carrying three of those monsters.

Our breeding group here in Europe has some F1 subadults and hope that we can breed F2.
Do you have a good clear pictures from the juveniles head-body?
Normally you can sex them from the very first moment.

Thank you, here is a shot I took a day ago. Good luck with your project. I currently have a gravid female so I hope to get a few more eggs from her in the next couple of months.

Great work, Ryan and very interesting that you were able to save the eggs. The ones I could out of death, gravid females were always not able to develop and after one or two weeks full of fungus

Thanks, Thats what happend to one of the eggs. I really got lucky with this one.
Thats fantastic news Ryan well done! Your baby is adorable he/she looks amazing! I know how chuffed you must have felt as a few years back I sadly lost one of my pygmys (Brev) she had 6 eggs to my astonishment everyone I spoke to said there was very little hope of any hatching but in the end I ended up with 5 one even went on to live until 3yrs old.
