Lemmy will be here tomorrow (my first)

Well after a month or so of reading on this forum, I think I have my cage up to par and will be getting my Nosy Be in the mail in the morning.

I have the pet screen in the door and the aluminum over the top. Mist king is in the bottom with drain catch. Timer on mist king and on lights.
I'm looking to do a ceramic tile floor with drainage in the near future.

Pictures of the little man will be added here in the post in the morning when he arrives.
Your set up looks great! I wish i had gone the home made route. Oh well.. Your cham is gorgeous, reminds me of my own. I see him eating small crickets, have you tried any type of worm yet? Once i started hand feeding my panther worms I felt more of a connection with him and could see a noticeable difference in his comfort with me. Good luck! Again everything looks great!

Thanks MrHarris,
Going to go bum some dubias from a friend and try some worms out, to see what he likes. The way I work, my wife is in charge of keeping him now and I'll be back in a week to try new things with him. He is sitting at the door in the mornings to be feed but runs when we open the door, hoping to work on that. Would love to hand feed.

We also have a 2x2x4 screen cage for outside (just not much in it for him to climb on). Going to take him outside some when I get in. I'm not just going to take him out there and leave him, I'll be sitting with him. Should I put him in the cage or pull the plant out of it and let him climb around on it? I dont want to shock him to much on his first trip out.

Mine too used to run when I opened the door. Now he waits and sees what kinda of treat i have for him. As for the trip outside I don't think it will affect him too much whether in or out of the cage. I went to Home Depot spent $15 and bought a 4ft ficus just for his outside adventure. I suggest using the cage if you are planning on not sticking around him. Some times its good just to keep them outside for a few hours for them to absorb natural UV light. In that case use the cage but for just hanging out let him roam on the plant with your supervision.
