Light advice

Can anyone recommend a good way of attatching a tube light to the top of the cage, If possible so that the light is focused downwards only. i,e so the whole room isnt lit up! LOL Im not sure of the best material to use? any idea's ?

a reflector will do the job,these sit over the uv strip light and direct the uv down into your viv,a reptile or aquatic shop sell these.

As an inexpensive, yet effective reflector, you can use aluminum foil, use the "dull" side to reflect.

they also sell many hoods with reflectors built in. but yeah aluminum foil is your best bet
