The past two days my chameleon has developed light green patch on his back even when his color change is the patron means the same. Is this normal?

I can’t help with what could cause the green area, but are you aware that it looks like he is a she? Can you post a pic of the back of the back feet? Boys have pronounced tarsal spurs. Some females may have tiny nubs and can be easily sexed wrong. Here is my male. View attachment 277665
Yes, you have a female. How old is she? If she’s around 5-6 months you need to make up a lay bin for her and it’s easiest to keep it as a permanent part of her enclosure. She will lay eggs whether mated or not.

Put in some washed play sand to about 6-8” deep and it’s important to keep it moist enough that it can hold a tunnel without collapsing.
Has your cham shown any bright colors, patterns or dots? Has she looked restless, constantly climbing all around the enclosure? If so, that was her receptive phase and she can lay her eggs anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months after.
