Lighting question?

well today i bought a Lighting hood for my Chams cage (have not bought my cham yet) My question was i read that you are suppose to use 5.0 UVB fluorescent light if i am not mistaken. The hood i bought came with a Desert 50 UVB light.. now can i use this aswell? if 50watt the same as 5.0? i know it says desert so iam assuming i can not use it? im new to the game im pretty sure i can answer this question myself but i would like to know from the veterans out there. thanks again.

just stick to the quality 5.0 hood light like reptisun or exoterra. the one it probably came with was low quality.

No you do not want to use that light. It is a Desert Series light geared more for a Bearded Dragon or a species of that sort. Get the Reptisun 5.0 tube and you should have NO problems whatsoever.
