lighting upping hydro bill??

So I got a panther chameleon about 4 months ago and I just noticed that my hydro bill is now 500 dollars for some reason did anybody else notice this? Is there something I can do about this??

If you are saying your electric bill went up to 500, that is not related to lighting, unless you are runnign a pet store ha. I have lighting on 5 cages with multiple types of lights per cage and did not notice much of a jump in my bill. My central air conditioner runs the bill up more than anything.

I would contact your Hydro company. We breed chameleons and our bill total is 400/month. You shouldn't notice much difference with just 1.
