Hi, I'm upping from a CFB to a linear tube for my ambilobe as I've heard they can cause eye problems.

-- Is there a cheaper solution than buying the exo-terra light controller? Hardware stores lights fixtures don't seem quite as flexible as this set up however, as these exo terra ones don't have a fixed length? (unless I'm reading it wrong?)
Hardware store controllers seem to be very close to the same price anyways. (for a single fixture too)
I've already bought a 30" 5.0 25W bulb, however I could be using the 36" ones in my 28"x6'x9' "enclosure" eventually I think I'll switch up (I want to get lots of plants growing in there), so i might just go for the 30W controller?
-- they all come with two mounts? Does everybody with these linear tubes use two UVB bulbs??? Is that really necessary?
Anything else you've experienced that could help?
