These shots were taken a bout a week ago. The pygmeleons are about a month old. And Thaxter is just doing his daily Tai Chi (or is it yoga? - he won't tell), stretching between the ropes of his Chameleon Condo.

I love looking at 'herds' 'packs' 'flocks' of chameleons. :D I think Orchardartist needs to do a Brevy painting. :p

Oh my Thaxter has NO modesty!

How cute are those baby Pyglets?! I love the cheeky l'il one peeking over the side of the pot! Thaxter's got to keep his physique in tip top shape just in case a lovely female comes wandering past, lol!:D;) Love how their legs look like the are joined on to the tail rather than the body! My Mum says Amy's legs look like they were put on as an afterthought, lol!:D

The Pyglets are so cute and I always love seeing Thaxter. When you get a chance post some pics of his condo. I need some ideas.:)

You know, the photos almost look like they are ONE photo. The large evil panther is climbing up the walls of Castle Brevicaudatus.

Lo and behold an intruder! Man your stations! Alarm! Alarm! Bring out the boilding kettles of tar! Arrrrgh!

:p

I'm afraid if that were the case, Castle Brevicaudatus wouldn't stand a chance. Once tongue flick could get 'em all.

@jannb, here is the Condo from a few years ago (before we attached it to the rest of the living room with pothos and bendy vines). Top holds a mercury vapor lamp and a reservoir and drip system, with two hanging plants underneath and a catch basin at the bottom. In theory, you can leave your crickets in the catch basin, but they're liable to become waterlogged, so mine are in a cup hung from an outward-bound pothos.

It looks like everyone in settling into to their new home. The pgymy's are so cute.

So are you settled in yet?

This is an old thread, begun last fall. The pygs did not free range (though I think it could be done with proper planning and the right plant/pot setup); they were out in the open for that pic while I cleaned their cage. I'm sorry to report that none of the 10 pygs hatched matured, though the oldest lived four months, and most showed no sign of decline between "apparently healthy" and "dead".
McGinty (formerly Lloyd), now 9+ month old Ambanja, Sally Mander and Rex the leopard gecko made the move from Lansing to Lincoln without trouble and have settled nicely into their new home. (Though Sally was standing tall on her hind legs tonight and declined a treat - maybe the thunderstorms told her it was time to get out and about?). I've been really bad about posting pix lately, but will do some updates soon.
