Little confused about egg laying

Okay, so I've read Jan's blog and looked at the laying bin video and I've watched it like twice. But I'm still sort of lost I guess because I am getting mixed signals with my girl Isabella. Either she is the adventurous type or her at times constant going to the bottom of her cage or doing circles in hr enclosure means she is laying. But she is only around 4 months maybe at the most? I'm just confused lol. I have rubbed her belly in the back by her rear end and haven't felt anything that would resemble an egg...soo tell me what you guys think

Well, I'm no expert, but since she's still quite young & since you couldn't feel any lumps in her tummy I would guess she's just a bit adventurous. So long as you have your laying bin accessible for her at all times (and keep an eye on her for any more changes) you should be able to relax a little :)

Someone else may be able to shed more light on this for you.

To add on my original post, she is also starting to get a sort of metallic green on her, when she gets excited or stressed, I couldn't tell at the time, she gets spots on her that are a dark metallic green. I don't know if that means anything but she has just started getting this.

I would but she is currently sleeping, her light doesn't come on for another half an hour. Did you want a picture of her entire body or..?

Allot of pictures from all angles will be good. She may just be adventurous as said above or she could be receptive. They also do allot of roaming when receptive.

Well I have some things going on atm that are preventing me from taking pictures, but I will get them up as soon as I can sorry guys.

My chams only wander the bottom if they are hungry. A lot of pet stores and even zoos feed animals sparingly to keep them active.

Hey guys I took her out today didn't get pictures but felt her tummy and she had nothing. I think she isnt ready to lay yet, she has been eating great and has been a lot more calm since I had moved her on Friday. She was exploring before but she has cut down and done her normal lazy adventuring around the top so I think she was just exploring like we refered to earlier, thank you for the help though I appreciate it a lot

Here are all the pictures, I tried to get them from a good angle but the iPad is hard to move around with one hand while she is going back and fourth up my arm lol

Thank you very much jann, But just another question. Will she show that she is receptive when she is going to lay eggs? Obviously she isn't old enough to breed but like should I be watching for a receptive pattern or does that have nothing to do with it? ANd will she show gravid patterns when she has eggs even though she has not been bred with anyone?

She should get her big girl colors and go receptive for a while and then after that she could lay eggs. If you keep her temps cool and do not overfeed she may not lay eggs. Most veiled will show the darker colors before laying but mine never did. I do free range all my animals and I think that makes a big difference in their colors. My guys usually show their brighter happy colors all the time.

So what age does she normally get big girl colors? So the color she was in the pictures is normal before laying? Is that what you meant by that?

My first female veiled Camille, got her big girl colors at 6 to 7 months old and laid her first infertile clutch at 14 months old. Her daughter Elly got her big girl colors at 10 months old and laid an infertile clutch at 11 1/2 months old. It all depends on how you keep them...how hot, what all you feed and what you gutload with. Your girl could be dark because of stress.

Yeah just from me taking her out, like i said normally she is a bright vibrant lime green so just the stress of taking her out did the dark coloration. But I am assuming then I shouldn't be really worried because she is only around 4 months of age.
