Little cough maybe

So I’ve noticed that my panther chameleon will do this thing where he sounds like he blows air out of his nose. his mouth doesn’t open and his neck doesn’t puff out. I’ve taken him to the vet before about it and they gave him an antibiotic shot but that was back in the middle of February. I keep the humidity where it should be during the day and his basking temp is about 90° he’s 11 months old and at night I have my misting system set to go on a few times thought the night to see if that will help but I’m not sure if he’s got a respiratory infection or something? Has anyone else’s chameleon done that before and what did they do about it??

Day time is usually 50% and night time I try to keep it around 60-70% it’s difficult to keep it higher but my misting system goes off around 4 times throughout the night for about a minute or two

11 month male panther chameleon I’ve had him for 6 months

I really don’t handle him, only when it’s necessary or to get him some natural sunlight.

I feed him super worms, crickets, silk worms, horn worms, calci worms and I give him 5-7 feeders every other day. I gut load with mainly collards or carrots

I give him repti calcium d3 once every other week. reptivite vitamin without d3 every other week, and calcium without d3 all other feedings

I have a dripper, I have a misting system that goes on for 3 minutes twice a day and it goes off 4 times during the night for a minute or 2 each time. And I see him drink occasionally I’m not alway watching him.

His poop looks fine and he’s been tested for parasites it came back negative

t5 liner uvb light and a 100watt basking light.

coolest point is 71° and warmest is 90° Over night it 67-69°

I have a ficus but it’s not doing well so I need to get a new tree on a day when it’s warm enough to keep him out of his cage so I can redo it and I have a ponytail pant too

his cage is in my room not near vents, it’s low traffic only I really go in my room

im located in the upper East cost part of the us.

You're doing everything great! I just have a few questions and suggestions:
First, here's a great gutload chart to add some more variety (variety is key for feeders and gutload ingredients)!
What are the distances from your UVB and heat bulbs to his basking branch?
What do you use to measure temps and humidity?
Adding a bushy plant in for extra cover would be great!
Adding a drainage system outside of the cage would be amazing!

And I wanna add a drainage system but I already have a lot of his stuff stored under the table he’s on lol

You want your heat and UVB bulbs 8-9 inches away from his basking branch.

A temp gun only measures surface temps, while cham's basking spots are air temps. If you don't have one already, get a digital thermometer with a probe and place it where the top of your chameleon's back is when he's on his basking branch. I'd also get at least one digital thermometer/hygrometer combo to put in his cage, as well.

You can add one under the cage but still on his stand.

That might be it because he does it when I go near him I don’t hear him do it when I’m sitting in my room somewhere. I went to fix his dripper just now and he did it again like 2 times when I was there. But he’s not getting defensive or anything he just like puffed air through his nose. I’ll have to check out your thread on it
