Lombardi is back!!!

Great that you get your calyptratus back, but...

Oh mann what a scare!!!! I thought this needed it's own thread since the other one got a little ridiculous and people probably stopped visiting it. I posted the story there... so here is the link so you can read what happened. Thanks again to everyone (except a specific unnamed sour German:rolleyes:).

~Joe

...I'm a "sour German" just because I don't behave like a 5 year old and because I have an other opinion ? I think this is a bit cocky. Threads like this one or the others where people tell the hole world that their chams die, are probably the best add for the bill called HR 669. Please think about it

great

man am i glad to hear that. i really felt awful for you and awful myself, hes such a beautiful calyptratus and one of my favorites on here. hes just the epitomy of a gorgeous guy. def lucked out on julirs picks! GONGRATS!! have you put up new pics of his returned self??

Enlighten us please on the link between us becoming emotionally attached to our pets and the bill HR 669?

Are you saying possibly that we cannot be emotionally attached and also be responsible pet owners? I am pretty sure that all the people that are dumping snakes in the Everglades were not emotionally attached.

AND-what is more COCKY than someone calling a forum full of people 5 year olds? This is a forum full of people that provide factual information as well as emotional support. Why exactly do you have a problem with this? Your "opinions" as you call them seem to be aimed at hurting people.

If a chameleon run away outdoors it's a lil contribution to establish alien species in the foreign fauna. I don't know where Joe is living, but there are lots of places in the USA where calyptratus can survive. If something like this happens a few hundert meters ago with a female calyptratus it's possible that they raise a new population

:D YAY!!! :D Lombardi's back safe and well!! I am so pleased for you! Glad everything worked out with a happy ending! What an emotional roller coaster you've been on, along with your friends on here! Great homecoming pics. You should reward that lovely lady-cham who lured him back with a visit from Lombardi himself!:D

There are wild pops. right here in Florida. Yes-careless people probably did this and they are a feral species. But you could clearly see that Joe never intended this to happen.
Again, what did this situation and emotional attachment to animals have to do with HR669? A person that could have cared less about his "lizard" could have done exactly the same thing.

I never said that Joe would do something like that, but he's make a big mistake. Joe has done this inadvertently and he does everything to get his male back - at the end with success, my gratulations for this !
The problem was that threads like this could show the campaigners of HR 669 that the keepers of exotic animals do many things wrong, wheater they act careless or not.
The emotional attachment has nothing to do with this. That's just my intention that people here overstate the problem from Joes point of view and the forget that this was an problem which could harm the native fauna.
Do you get on with my points now ?

Yes-this post made more sense. I am not sure that Veileds would survive where Joe is, but they are doing quite well here in Florida.

Puh. My words are maybe harsh but I just want to show you and the others here, that you write douzens of pages which are the best munition for the enemies of keeping exotic animals.

It's the same thing when people start threads when their animals die just in an age of one year or so. That's bad for them personally but there's no need to tell this the hole world

I just wanted to post that I'm happy to hear you found Lambardi.
nice trick with the female. :D

post some new photos soon, he's such a freakshow good looking felow.

I guess it is a good thing that in thousands and thousands of posts here there are very few escapees.

That is amazing. So glad to here he came back. And awesome idea, lure him in with a lady. :D Makes me wonder how close he was. He was probably watching you look all over for him the whole time. They are masters camouflage, he definitely won that game of hide and seek. He had to give in...:)

Where is Justin Carl to call "Thread Crapper" when you need him. No Kidding man... you are on a roll.

There are people who offer real help and advice, cause they have experience and a willingness to help. Then there are people who jump on the smallest opportunity to point out the negative in something because it makes them appear knowledgeable and gives them a chance to say something. Your not proving anything accept the latter.

I don't need you on my thread telling me what a mistake I made... as that is the whole reason I created the thread to share the story so others don't make my mistake. Several times in the thread I say how guilty I felt... But if you need to tell me again to give your ego a little bump... feel free I guess it is a public forum.

Also if anything, supporters of HR 669 would see this thread and hopefully realize that it is not just cats and dogs that people care about, and miss when they are gone. They would see there is a large community of people who care very much for these animals.

Yeah and I also get an infraction for my "anti-americanism"
Also... Maybe check your step then, seeing as how the only members on the site that can hand out infractions are the mods. Nobody said you were anti-american, but that might explain your determined thread crapping tactics.

I'm so happy you got him back - I know I don't know Lombardi personally, but I've watched him grow up, and I know how much you care about him and I care about mine... Very cool trick with the "bait" female.
