Lottie Had a Hawkmoth This Morning

Sage had a Hawkmoth too and Andy a Cicada but I forgot to get a picture of the boys.

I have a hornworm pupae that has been morphing into a hawk moth for about 3 months now. All the other pupaes I had hatched a couple months ago. I think this last one I have somehow went into diapause, which is odd, because they were all sitting under the lights for the same amount of time, and getting sprayed the same. Nothing changed between all of them, yet, I have one that still hasn't hatched. Taking FORVER!!!! I know it's still alive though because the butt end moves when I pick it up.

Go Lottie! That is an impressive moth! Custard, my veiled, had a cicada yesterday, his first one. He was quite proud of himself afterwards.

It was a big moth but mostly wings. Lottie was excited when she saw it.

I'm glad that Custard got to enjoy a cicada.
