my male delipis its crazy he hisses at me and trys to bite me...why?? is it b.c i separated him from the female and put him in a smaller encloser?

might just wanna take things slowly. dont try to pick him up and just let him get comfortable with you. eventually you may be able to pick him up every now and then (when you need to do things like clean his cage or give him a check up)

Because that's what chameleons do. The WC ones in particular.
I've worked with many different kinds of reptiles both personally and professionally and chameleons are perhaps the worst for temperment. They are not what I ever consider to be a good "pet" reptile. They are a look but don't touch animal. Besides, they are healthier for it too.

That said, if touching or holding your pet is important - and there is nothing wrong with wanting that - perhaps another kind of reptile pet is more for you. Bearded Dragons, Leopard Geckos, Crested Geckos, Corn Snakes, Ball Pythons and some kinds of King Snakes all make good beginner reptiles that don't mind the occasional handling session.

Naw. Well, the smaller enclosure isn't helping, but it has nothing to do with the female. In the wild, except for mating, males and females DO NOT live together. Yes, I realize there are exceptions to this rule and I work with those species, but generally chameleons live solitary lives. Apple, you are doing the right thing by keeping them separate. Hopefully he will settle down for you, except for feeding and misting sessions, ignore him.

Cheers!
