Male Veiled digging hole

Male Digging

I too, have a MALE chameleon that is digging. I am not an idiot, he clearly has spurs on both his hind legs. I do not know why he is doing this either. However, I am doing all the things I would normally do for a female chameleon to see what happens (this is currently happening). I moved him to a nesting bin, with moist sand so a tunnel can be dug if for some reason I have a female chameleon with hind spurs. If anyone has any other answer besides we are all morons that can't tell the difference between a female and a male chameleon as to why the male is digging, I would appreciate it. Otherwise, I will keep you updated as to what happens with my hermaphrodite chameleon.

Here is a picture of Clarence, or is it Clarice? In my opinion, that is a clear spur on the back of his heel. Am I wrong?

I responded to your other post. You are not a moron. It is possible to have a hermaphrodite - there are hermaphrodites in all species. Mine was a female with male marking and heel spurs, so effectively a butch girl! Make sure your set up is spot on, and keep the bin in there just in case for the moment. See how it turns out.
