I love that Chuck. I am looking to get a toucan. They are awesome. I have researched long and hard and I was lucky to find a local breeder who is fairly inexpensive compared to some others. I am going to go with a full size bird though instead of the aracari. Either a red bill or a keel bill. Tocos are way too pricey for my budget. The best part about toucans is that they do not have dander like other birds.

A monkey was on the list for a while, I even had a cool name for him,Dr. Zaius. A planet of the apes reference. The poo flinging, I don't think I could handle.

Yes Chuck, thanks for the info. They are pretty cool I'd have to admit. I was just giving Chad a hard time b/c he always has so many crazy ideas! But ya, I think we'll stop in at Emerald Forest at some point this summer and at least take a look. But I did warn him that if he gets a toucan then I want my monkey. They are just so cute...I've always wanted one! Then it can fling poo at Chad when he is bad and I'll do the laughing. hahaha.

Oh right!!! My husband tried to talk me into getting a toucan. But a few months with a new cockatoo and I'm sure I can't handle another bird.
I hear they are quite messy and have runny poop. Your wife would just love you to death. And I do mean death! LOL

From what I have heard about monkeys-just have a baby-they are easier and the committment is about the same!
