Nathan said:
“As for parking, everyone is welcome to park in the garage structure that is attached on the south side of the building. Later in the evening, the gate may be closed but I have a card key to open it. Otherwise, there is plenty of street parking in front of the building.”

The "South Bay Chameleon Keepers" (SBCK) meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. These free-of-charge meetings are pretty much free-flowing, with all chameleon topics open for discussion. "Show and Tell" discussions are common. We continue to experiment with group bulk-buys (silkworms, hornworms, superworms, crickets, dubias etc.) at our meetings. Some members may be bringing these feeders to sell but that's not guaranteed. Let us know if you are looking for these feeders (or anything else) and we'll try to confirm availability (pre-ordering) before the meeting. Some keepers bring their chameleon books and magazines along with other various items to spark discussions.

Don't hesitate to RSVP with an email to: [email protected] if you think you might be coming. Didn't RSVP? Come anyway!

On your way and got lost? For this meeting, call Dave Weldon on his cell phone# 310-600-4793.

Our group ranges from long-time breeders to novice keepers. Lately, there have been 20+ members attending. There are usually new members at every meeting.

No guarantees but there are usually snacks and drinks brought-in by some of the attendees. You’re welcome to bring some too!

See You There,

SBCK

(NOTE)
The www.chameleonforums.com has added a "Social Group" area that our SBCK members, or those wishing to join the SBCK group, can associate themselves to by requesting an "Invite" (https://www.chameleonforums.com/groups/south-bay-chameleon-keepers.html). Our purpose for having the SBCK Group area on this Forum is to help SBCK members keep track of who & how to contact other SBCK members. The term "Member" is used loosely to mean anyone who attends the free meetings. If you have no intention of ever attending any of the face-to-face meetings there is no benefit to being part of the group and you will likely not be "Added" or kept in this Social Group list . This SBCK group area is not intended to replace the main forum. Use the regular Forum area for all posts. Use the SBCK group area as a means of locating other SBCK members to send PMs etc. Continue to use the latest monthly "Meeting Invite" posting as a place to post to the SBCK members at are also "ChameleonForums" members. There are still a few SBCK members that are not yet Forum members but continue to receive their notices via the [email protected] emails. It appears, for the moment, that Junior Member status on the ChameleonForums does not yet have enough "Permission Level" to join a Social Group.

Howdy All,

Kevin (Summoner12) is in the process of gathering together the usual Mulberry Farms feeder orders as well as orders for supplies from LLL Reptile. If you are not already on the email list to get the Excel spreadsheet insect order sheet, just toss an email to [email protected] and you'll be sent back the order sheet within a day. Orders must be sent directly to Kevin before Sunday 2pm. Pick-up is at the May 26th SBCK meeting.

Sbck!

Where is everyone?! LOL

Is it memorial day weekend??

Hope to see everyone at the meeting!

I am going to bring my RO system in for show and tell..just a brief 'this is what it looks like' sort of thing. I don't have the control end of it complete... that will be another month or so  short on funding right now hehe.

Dave I can't wait to hear your lecture... should I bring my T8 demo lamps and some T12s? I'll bring my meter too.. maybe we can take some meter comparison readings to see if we are getting the same numbers on our meters.

Howdy Kevin,

Yep! Bring your T8's and T12's and we'll do a few meter runs :).

Oddly, not a lot of people responds.. What happened since i left the scene? :D

Anyway, I will go to the meeting this time... first after so many absent due to a schedule conflict.
I have tons of house flies pupae if anybody wants them.

I'm here!

I'm looking forward to the lectures and the bug swap! See everyone there!

edit: Dave do you have any of the plant stands available for the meeting? If so, I'd like two.

Is steve going to be selling crickets? His price really hits the spot

Kayleigh and I will be there, with Toni as well probably. We will actually try to show up on time for once and catch the speaker.

:D I'll be there! Making gutload Monday. Have to clean alot of cages tomorrow and Monday, after not being home last few days. I did a head count on my chameleon last week as I started moving some chams outdoors till the fall. So I'll be able to answer the question:  "how many cahameleon do you have?" At lease until the next batch of eggs begin to hatch.
See ya there! :)

I'll be there. Not as prepared as I'd like to be though. I will have fruit fly cultures. Some will be my home made cultures but those will likely be melanogaster. The hydei take a long time for me. So I'll bring the blue hydei cultures like I usually do.

I've been trying to get my first order of cages together this month but it's taking a while. They are from the same guy who makes the all screen aluminum cages sold by LLL and used to be sold by Reptile Depot. I cannot match the LLL prices but your purchase will help ChamEO with vet expenses and general care for rescues.

Lastly, if anyone attending the SBCK meeting is interested in buying a captive hatched Ch. (T) wiedersheimi perreti baby, I will have some at the June meeting, not this one coming up. They are only 1.5 months right now so it's too soon. Email me if interested at [email protected] and I can help with any questions you have.

I'm soooo there. Gotta pick up my Cricket Crack and feeders. :) This is going to be a really informative meeting. I'm very much looking forward to it!

I don't need any cages, but I've got another donation check for you.

If there is anyone else who still needs bugs I am gonna go tomorrow instead of today... so there is still some more time to place an order.
