maybe a bad blood line?

i have a year old male nosy b from a well known breeder.his sire was a beautiful electric blue.him on the other hand just dont seem to have the color unless he is sleeping.even when he goes outside he gets more brown than blue.im just curious if maybe he has bad genes?like i said his dad was gorgeous so im confused.....somebody please help

First, its not just the father that contributes to the offspring - the female also contributes :)

A chameleon will not necessarily look just like its father, or like its mother's father/brothers. Each one is unique. And its not unusual for a nosy be to be shades of green/turquois along with spots of red etc. and they change as they age, usually getting more colour as time goes on. One year is not at the end of colour change yet. further, a cold chameleon can appear darker than a warm one, a stressed one different than a relaxed one, UVB lighting vs outdoors, diet, hydration - all of these influence as well.

To upload a photo if you have a picture saved on your computer:

Start a new post (dont use quick reply)
type some words introducing the photo(s)
Click on the "attachements" icon (looks like a little paperclip
a "manage attachements" window will open
Browse to where you ahve the photo saved.
then upload
then close the "manage attachement" window.

the photo(s) will appear as thumbnails at the end of the message, after you finish the post
OR you to place within the body of the message, place your cursor insertion point where you want the photo to be, then click the drop down arrow next to the paperclip icon, select your photo.
