I am a first-time chameleon owner. I have a female veiled. She is a juvenile but I do not know how old she is. I got her from the pet store. When I went to take her out of her cage to clean it she puffed up real big and hissed at me and look like she was going to bite. So I just left her in there and work around her. But today I had to take her out of her cage to arrange some things. I was worried she was going to bite me so I used a glove. Sure enough she popped up real big and bit the glove and hissed. She also had almost black stripes and dots all over her never quite seen her like that. The people at the pet store told me not to hold them know because the stress could kill them. Don't know if I should just let her be mean and chilling her cage. Or if it would be best to try and tame her. What do you guys think?
