Medication?

so i got prescribes ceftmazide for my chameleon and directed to keep the medication in the freezer until use and to administer every 72 hours. What if i give the dose two days late and. i forgot one of the doses outside the freezer over night can i still use that? and if not would one dose short make a difference?

Contact whomever you received the prescription from to ask these questions. If it was the vet contact them if it was a compounding pharmacy or pharmacy contact them. All meds have different requirements for how to keep them. Some will go bad if not stored correctly. And depending on what you are treating yes, skipping a dose can make it less effective especially when you are dealing with any form of antibiotics.

I would not use the one you left out of the freezer. Make sure to warm the meds up before you give the injection. I rub it between my hands a minute or two to warm it up. Be sure not to miss any of the injections.
