I finally got my new veiled chameleon today!! His name is Benji. Thank you guys so much for helping out, I’m sure I’ll need more advice on the future though.

He is hiding atm so i didn’t get too many pictures.


On another note, I’m kinda disappointed in my local store... This “vet” was giving me some, not-so-great advice. She told me the only supplements that the chams need are multivitamins, which makes me concerned about how they keep them in the store..

Congrats and hello Benji! Sadly, many vets aren’t completely knowledgeable about chameleons...even some ‘exotics’ vets. In all fairness though, when one thinks about all of the different species of animals that they need to know about, I imagine it would be tough to have a handle on the specifics of all. Made even harder as I would imagine most don’t see chameleons on a daily basis.

Yeah. It’s just that she says all that stuff to new owners and I could image that wouldn’t go well down the road.
