Meet Bubble!

I used to have a male, and yeah he did pong a bit!!! I was told not to wash the cage & toys too often as that only encourages them to mark even stronger! I used to alternate washing the cage and branches so he always had something that still smelt just as he liked it! :D Luckily the females don't scent mark to such a degree as the males!

I've heard the females are not so bad, or neutered males. I decided with the smell and the noise, I wouldn't ever have another one. They can be very sweet though. They have a fairly complex diet as well. I feel bad for the people that don't do their research and end up with their hands full!

They certainly do need research (as you should with any new pet) before buying! When I got my male 9 years ago, there wasn't much info around - no dedicated forums or websites to research, etc. I just learnt from a book! At least I had some idea about the importance of calcium when I got Lily, as Sugar Gliders can get MBD too if not fed properly! I don't think I'll have any more after Bubble, I would like more lizards!! They don't make a noise or any mess!

I totally agree. Live and learn though. I wouldn't have ever gotten rid of my gliders, but I certainly won't ever get any more. :p
