She's really not a happy chameleon at the mo, poor Mia. It seems im getting the blame for her shedding, she hissed at me this morning. Normally she's laid back and friendly but i can get stuffed at the moment. I'm gonna give her a nice warm shower soon, hopefully that will cheer her up and she'll love me again. Lol

it's like women in their period haha. Chameleons are a bit more irritated when shedding and can eat or drink a little less then and be less active, though they always like a treat as in women eating ice-cream or chocolate, mine eats waxmoths and fruit :p

And what about you men? I swear you have PMS too! Atleast my husband does!!! lol! :D

Poor Mia!

That 3rd pic looks like she might have eggs.

No eggs jann, she was puffed up because she was basking when that pic was taken plus being in a bad mood. I took her to the vets for a check over and she had an xray too. No eggs, but i will keep an eye on her. She has a laying bin in her cage too.

obsured! men NEVER get cranky  its called MNFS fyi. (Man Needs Food Syndrome) once we get prime rib or a rack of lamb we are golden! unless of course.... that man is following the "is any body a vegitarian?" thread, than that may be something different. LOL

Hmmm ice cream, yum yum. lol, yeah when chams shed its like they are having a period. Bless them! Now when my bearded dragon sheds he couldn't care less, he's still his friendly self.

How exactly do you give your chameleons a shower? My little guy is still nervous of me and I don't want to make it that much worse...

put a plant in the bathtub, and run the water so it is luke warm, not any warmer than that. something that feels warm to us, will be too hot for the chameleon. point the shower head so its facing the wall of the shower, that way, the water will bounce off the wall on to the plant where the chameleon is. you have to be extreamly carefull, first times in the shower can freak the cham out, and the will try and run off of the plant. you have to monitor it the whole time. a good hydration shower should last 45 minutes to an hour. 25-30 minutes should be a minimum.
hydration showers target chams to drink when they dont as much in their cage, it obviously boosts up their body hydration, and it can help with impactions and relax a gravid female to enduce the eggs (rarely)

I wouldn't give your cham a shower unless he's dehydrated or with some other sickness that a shower would benifit him,
you could just be giving him unneeded stress.
