mist king issues

I've had mistking for just over a week now, it worked fine for first 4 days but now randomly it won't spray, just drips out of nozzle. Timer is working fine, pump is kicking on and getting water to nozzle tip but there it just drips and/or has a very faint mist barely coming out. I've checked to make sure hoses were all pushed in as far as they go. The pump is laying at same level as bulkhead of bucket, both on floor. Then hose runs 4 ft up to top of screen cage.

What kind of water are you using. If you use unfiltered tap water, your nozzles may be getting clogged quickly. It is recommended that you use distilled or RO water with the misting nozzles so there is no mineral deposits clogging things. You can soak the nozzle in a 50/50 water and vinegar solution to help breakup the buildup. If this doesn't help, you may need new nozzle tips from mistking.

Shouldn't be water build up that quickly. Have you tried detaching the nozzle, pruning the pump, and reattaching the nozzle? Seems overly simple, but with nozzle issues on a new system, that's the first thing I would try.

yea its not the water, Ive used tap in mine for over a year. I would re-connect everything and see what happens. Did it ever run dry?

Sounds like the pump needs primed to me, but it could also be debris clogging the nozzle. It is unlikely that deposits would build up in such short time, but if your reservoir gets debris in it, it won't take long to clog a nozzle. Not sure if these systems come with a prefilter ahead of the pump intake, but they should. Take the nozzle off and if you have good flow, then the nozzle is plugged. If you have no to little flow, your pump needs primed.

I found with mine that I have to keep the bucket (water source) on a stool above the pump. If I sit the bucket on the floor then I get the same issue, works for a day or two and then loses its prime.

Have you checked the reservoir has water? I've found when mine runs out of water it does this. Then when you fill it up again it takes a minute to fill the system with water again. Also the bulk head in your reservoir have you put this an inch or so up from the bottom? This helps stop anything that falls into the reservoir from getting pulled through the system. A lid too helps if you don't have one. :)

Disconnect the line where the water comes out of the pump and turn it on - let it flow till you get a good stream and reconnect the line- this will prime your pump and let you know if it's a nozzle problem- If it is I would contact mistking from what I've heard mistkings customer service is great- I have an aquazamp who's customer service is also great - in either case they most likely will be able to fix any problem or replace a defective part.
