Misting system heater

I have a 200 + 300 inline Hydor. They are spaced about 3 feet apart in the same line.

System has been up and running for almost 2 years now...

I have built a heater similar to the coffee maker heater. I just have to wire it. It was built with a piece of 2" copper with a threaded reducer to take a water tank heater. I will post pictures later today.

I want to heat my misting water too. I can't seem to find any more of these Bunn heaters, although I'll keep looking. Would one of these Hydor inline heaters work?

Has anyone tried one of these?

These don't do much....

The issue with heating up the water for misting is that you need to create a large gap between the water going to the nozzle and the temp you expect to get out of the tip of the nozzle.... If you want warm water out of the nozzle you need HOT water going to the nozzle. Water, when atomized cools quickly. This is why mist is used to cool spaces in arid climates. The moisture evaporating cools the air down as it absorbs the heat.

i have been following this thread and was thinking of doing an aquarium heater until I read about algae. would love to see some people find something on ebay that is suitable as I wont be getting a misting system until december when my semester ends and I can build a drainage system for all this water.

old thread and all but has anyone thought about using a below the tank reptile heat pad on a seperate timer from the mister, set to turn on 1 hour before the misting starts? I never even thought about using warmed water in regards to misting but it sounds cool to try in the future. I just want to know what i could use as an insulator between the misting tank and the heat pad so as to not cause any damage or melting overtime of the plastic resivour? maybe a piece of thin leather? Maybe something like this instead of the heatpad

does anyone know if the warm water helps in regards to shedding?
