Misting -vs- drip

My baby veiled HATES to be misted. Would a gravity fed rain ring work in place of an auto mister? I am getting ready to move her into a 18X18X36 screen cage next week and I want to make sure she is getting enough water. I think I will need to raise the floor up a bit because she is so small and I have a hard time finding her in her baby cage. I want to make sure she is getting enough to eat. At this time she does cup feed so that helps. Does anyone have any ideas on how to raise the floor on a ReptiBreez cage? I was thinking of using thumb tacks to attach two wooden dowels across the bottom and placing the PVC floor on top to make the cage a little smaller until Penelope gets a little bigger. Any ideas on rain rings etc. would be very much appreciated.

The dowels would work if your not planning on any weight sitting on the pvc board like a potted plant. If you have a potted plant put an upside down pot on the bottom of the cage...measure the height, make that the overall height for for raised bottom. You would then put the dowels in, add your pvc board, and sit your potted plant directly over the upsidedown pot to support the weight.

I made a false bottom out of a fence panel, cut it to the inside measurement of my cage and created a square frame with cross beams to support weight. Worked great. Totally cost was about $5.

Just make sure you have something to catch water under that raised bottom for precautionary purposes.

I don't know drip vs. mist so can't provide any help there.

Ps- if you want pics and measurements for the wood frame I can put that together for you. It was for an 18x18x36 retibreeze.

Thanks Craig. Great idea.

Guess no one has any advice on this subject. Guess I will have to just try and keep an eye on Penelope to make sure she is not getting dehydrated. A little disappointed right now. My last few post have been pretty much ignored.
