Howdy,Make sure all connections are pressed in all the way. I've had several cases where the tubing on the pump isn't pushed in all the way and air gets sucked in. (you really have to press it in hard)
disconnect the tubing at the nozzles, let the water run for a bit, then plug the nozzles in.

I believe cavitation is true only for pumps with impellers. This one comes with a diaphragm, piston and check valves.

Everything seems to be in place. I do own a tee like the one shown but I don't use it as of now. I took every connection apart and reassembled them. The pump seems to keep its prime.
