MistKing starter kit question

I was thrilled how easy this setup works and how easy the digital timer was to program.

After the second misting, I happened to walk by the cage and the unit was still pumping away.

I unplugged and plugged the cord back in...still pumping!

(No Cham yet...I get him on Thursday)!

I've verified the programming 3 times and it is in AUTO.

Anyone have any ideas on what's wrong?

The unit is NEW, just arrived today!

I've sent MistKing an email, but no answer yet.

U gotta have one of the off times wrong. Check the time and days of the off program. If it still pumps water, hold the reset button and reprogram it.

Yeah you definitely have the off times selected incorrectly. What you need to do is when you press program it will say 1 ON, 1 OFF, 2 ON, 2 OFF, etc. Make sure all the times match up! =]

Hi, I love my Mist King.
You might want to try something.... If you are ever in the ON position and click the button again to go to AUTO it will not shut off and continue to run. When going from ON to AUTO you need to push the button 3 times to return to the AUTO setting (going from ON-AUTO-OFF-AUTO). Worth giving a shot and double check the time settings. Good luck.

THANK YOU! i was going through the same issue as the OP and your advice worked perfectly. youre a life saver. :D

lol yeah make sure you select the correct AM or PM! I don't have to tell you that messing that up would go thru a lot of water. :;)

I happen to be setting up the timer on my MistKing tonight too. I have my on and offtimes set but can someone explain to me the difference between ON, AUTO and OFF settings?

Am i correct in assuming that ON, activates my on and off cycles. OFF stops my on and off cylces from running and AUTO just keeps the power running constantly, disregarding the on and off cycles?

the "on" setting is a manual on and will continue to mist untill you manually put it to off, when you use your pre-set times (the ones you program in) keep it on the "auto" setting..hope that helps..
