Mistking Water Reservoir Heater

I've seen this question posted before but couldn't find it during my search.
Anyways...

I'm trying to find a product that I can put into my mistking reservoir to keep the water between 80-90 degrees? I've seen the TetraFauna Aquatic Reptile Heater and Aquatic Reptile Heater used for turtles and/or fish. They advertise it keeps the water at 78 degrees. I would prefer it a little bit higher and if possible adjustable.

Any suggestions or products that anyone knows of?

Thanks for the reply that helps. On the other hand tho, I've decided to just go with a normal aquarium heater to put in my reservoir. Seems to be the easiest way to keep the water warm. I just don't like startling my chams when they are basking. When I hand mist, I usually use warm water so they don't get freaked out. So, I was just trying to recreate that with the mistking. I should had just googled a little more before making this thread. Thanks anyways tho

just a reminder..... the fittings used by Mist King and others..... decrease in pressure rating as water temp increases..........

sure we all want warm water... but the systems can't take the pressure if the water is too warm.

You don't want to do that. It will cause algae buildup all throughout the lines and reservoir. Do some research with inline heaters.

This is all your going to need pictures and everything. Check it out.:D

Dang, you responded a little too late. I just ordered my heater and it has already been shipped. Either way thanks for the reply. Could I use it temporarily (a week or two) untill I order the inline heater? Or will the damage have started already?

Oh well, from what your telling me It looks like I'll have an aquarium heater in the Miscellaneous Classifieds forum. Seriously though, thanks for the reply that could have been nasty.

I would just hold off on it rather than using it. Try and see if you could return it.

ya know what ya could do... take a large jug and fill it with water, place the heater you baught, in the jug and then put 100 feet of 3/8"tubing into the bucket... let the water warm up.... then hook your pump to that tubing. it'll warm the water as it flows through the tubes. won't be super duper warm but better than cold.

remember to use 3/8" tube because if you use 1/4" you'll have a lot of pressure drop.
