Its ok. I remember being a kid and having my pets. My Mom hated them and forbid most. I kept some in my closet or under the bed...at a neighbors....anyplace. I'm weird too.
Good luck. And good job with the grades!!!
Hope your parents see the light and you can sway them with your super powers.

haha,

no worries dude i always had animals since i could remember, and to alot of people the bugs are freaky.

my friends liked my chams because of how they eat, one of them was dumb enough to put a superworm on his nose and my old veield caught it:p:D

overall dont worry what others say, just keep being you and do what makes you happy, some are gamers and some are reptile keepers:p haha

LOL!!!!!! Yeah..... Some of my friends think Im NERDIE bacause of my Panther Cham & my addiction to Radio Control Slope Gliders.... They are just TOO cool! BUT...... They change thier mind when I suit up and get on my 500cc KTM... Dirt bike & all they see then is a trail of dust in the distance!! I used to race SCORE off road baja.... & expert class MX.... They dont say nuthin now!!! Dave

I've always been pretty nerdy as far as my tastes go. I used to get those anatomy puzzle models for birthdays and christmas, ones where you get the clear shell of a person or dog and you can to piece together the bones and organs. Or microscopes. And here I am doing a double major in biology, so hey.

I had to wait until I was out of my parents' house before I could really have the pets I wanted. For my mom it was horrible when she came home to find two little beta fish in their little tanks. So imagine having anything else! After my first year of college I moved into a house, got a dog, and started keeping reptiles. I'm getting a second dog now with my father's support but it's going to be a secret from my mom for a while. So you can do what you want once you're out of the house, it just takes patience.

Lol! I have to admit, I think video games are the great! But I think its great you are interested in animals and insects and such. Definetly follow what interests you. Focus on those grades and soon you'll be able to keep all the wildlife you want! ;)

Davonat: You couldn't be more right about slope soaring. The only way to make that more fun is to do COMBAT! The trill of knocking your friend out of the sky and taking a victory roll, good times.

Im getting a new beautiful female blue bar ambilobe, ohh and i already got my other goodies (my b.c. rich warbeast trace )..

do what you personally like, yes i play games to (mainly cod online because of friends) but i really love my chameleons (and all the other pets ive had over the years) :D

I was the animal nerd when I was younger. First pet was a green horned frog. Then I had a white lined gecko, tokay gecko, bibron's gecko, oriental fire-bellied toads, anole, green tree frogs.

I was a total nerd and no one messed with me because I had so-called "crazy" pets.

Then i got into mountain biking and downhilling. The rest is history.

sounds great!!!

Ya same that's basically what I ask for and like I am getting a new Cham too
But before Christmas my parents say it partially counts as one of my presents lol!

I asked for a petsmart/petco gift card or LLL gift certiciate thingys. Also money for my trip to California and my parents said if I don't use it then I can use it for a cham. :D

jajaja thats ok :) im a 14 year old girl and i asked for a chameleon for my birthday instead of a purse or something. i guess i never loved the idea of having insects in the house, but you get used to them right? :)

I totally understand wanting a lizard (cham or otherwise) for christmas... I had ended up catching an alligator lizard in my backyard and then claiming it was nature's birthday present for me... which amused my mum enough to let me keep it XD

If you're looking to get a beardie, here's a site that's helped me get mine to 19 inches now at a few months short of 2 years (that's 8.5 inches body, 10.5 inches tail) http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html , as babies they don't always eat their greens, but even when they don't, you can use the excess in salads and other human foods, so your parents shouldn't be too upset with sharing the fridge space for that! And once you get your own place (or once your parents fall in love and let you close off a room for a bit) you can let them roam free, just watch them near curtains and such as they will climb and can jump a lot higher than you think (my guy jumped more than a foot up off the ground a bit ago XD). These guys are much much much more social than chams (no offense guys!) and can quickly make the rest of the family try to claim them as their own.

Best of luck in getting what you want for Christmas, and you are awesome kid.
