Unfortunately I don't have my camera turned on 24/7 but DANG! That was cute.

This is normal, right? Hopefully he's not trying to yawn out some nasty stuff. :D

Anywho, does anyone have any pictures of yawning chameleons?
 
:eek: Did you really need to ask Syn?! :D I've got photos of Lily doing just about everything!!:D:p Anyway, here she is yawning - she had just stretched her gular to burst out of some shed and it turned into a yawn!

Ha ha ha! Steve is hilarious!

Yeah, it's normal! My guy always shudders after a big yawn too! It makes the whole cage shake!

Steve has such a nice tounge, I think maybe you should try petting his tounge:eek: Let us know how that works for you;) Maybe even picture.:p:eek:

yeah its normal we have snakes were i used to work they would yawn it was so funny
 
Thank you guys for sharing - that's really cute! Kevin, I don't think he's yawning. Looks like he's screaming at you for not giving him a treat! :D

Only reason I was a little bit concerned is that I know some animals will "yawn" when trying to get stuff out of their throat.. when in all reality it's not a yawn.

Ya know how when you see someone yawn you feel like yawning... and end up yawning?

This happens in my cham room.

The melleri in here can see ne another. Fred Jake and caddie can see the melleri Steve is kinda off in his own world.... but either way... last weekend I saw one cham yawn... then another... and then another... it was like a chain reaction... or... just early and none of them felt like being awake.
 
I believe a yawn is the first step to a universal language. :D

It's really interesting to learn things like this. :)
 
This is a Video of McLovin' I took today. I opened his cage and got a nice big Yawn. I took him outside to bask so I could clean his cage. The plants in his cage were dying and becoming very ugly.lol.

 
Thanks Guys! He is a super Friendly guy... Loves the opportunity to come out on your arm. I was watching the vid again... Yes I talk to chameleons.lol.:D

Funny, I noticed that happen just the other day... I was feeding Ember her phoenix worms and my boyfriend yawned, then Ember yawned, and I looked across the room as Emit yawned, too. :eek:
