Mufasa's Crazy Courtship Colors!

Thanks all for the kind words.
he is looking good.. finally he got him some. you can get good vermiculite the coarse kind at LLL if you cant find it in Tampa. good luck!
Dang you know I just ordered BIG from them yesterday lol.

I decided to not go with the incubator (it's on back order anyways), and got some more bulbs and 8quarts of the coarse vermiculite from LLLReptile!
I want to have everything set up for the egg laying and care-taking. Sarabi should be due in another two weeks or so.

Home Depot or Lowes has StaGreen vermiculite-but it is the fine kind. I am using it with no problems but most people prefer the course kind. Let me know what you find!
Julie,
My boyfriend found a bag of the StaGreen vermiculite yesterday at Lowes, for the 27 eggs Sarabi laid yesterday! Thanks for your help, now the waiting game is on :)

Hooray! Eggs! Congrats! I introduced the Oustalets yesterday by putting their cages next to each other. Typical male, Oscar was all excited til he learned that he could not get to her then he went to his normal hang out spot on the other side of the cage. She seemed very OK with the whole thing. She is about a year old so I am going to breed them after her next fecal. Little Miss Nosy Nippy will be a year old around May-June, and she is small so I am just playing the waiting game with her. I can't wait for more eggs! :)

Thanks. Getting ready to mate Oustalets sounds great, that's good that they have been showing interest in one another..... Is your female WC? Good luck with that.
Vega is looking forward to meeting little Miss Nosy Nippy hopefully some time later in the summer. You have two clutches incubating already from Carla right?
Here are some pictures of Sarabi laying and of her eggs!

Does 72 sound alright for the temps to start out with? We have them like this in a drawer. The second container has 6 eggs that look more like tic-tacs than jellybeans. Has anyone ever successfully hatched a neonate from one that looks more like a tic-tack, or would they most likely be infertile?
