What's your favorite band(s) at the moment?

Right now I'm into 3OH!3, A Day to Remember, Avenged Sevenfold (of course).

What about you guys?

Im all about the new Mastodon and Lamb of god right now....I listen to mainly rock/metal stuff.

NICE:D Im not much for Lamb of God but the new album is definatly the best one yet I think.

I tend to go in phases where I will play something out then go to the next and then come back. Right now I have been listening to a lot of Death (Individual thought patterns and after), Anata (all albums), Arsis (all albums), Im digging the new Cannibal Corpse and Deicide albums also:eek:

Meshuggah, Lamb of God (but I actually dont like the new cd. As Palaces Burn is the best IMO), In Flames (new stuff is bad too though imo), As I Lay Dying, Scar Symmetry, Deadstar Assembly, Static-X, NIN, Angelspit, The Birthday Massacre, Emilie Autumn, Mastadon (Blood Mountain), ISIS

Haha. I like a few girly bands from time to time, because, well, im a girl, but I'm too embarrassed to list them. ;p

Although the Birthday Massacre isn't hardcore. I bet you'd like them Syn!

I think I've heard of them before. Gonna YouTube them right now. :p

edit: Yeah a friend of mine had me listen to Looking Glass.

If it ain't thrash, it's trash.
If it's not punk, it's junk.

Just kidding I like everything. Classic rock guitar virtuosos, thrashcore, hip hop.

Right now my big kick is progressive rock and prog metal, without lyrics though. At this moment in time I seem to love any music without vox.

If its not thrash its trash,:D hahahahahaha. I too can get into quite a bit of music besides just metal although thats my favorite. Some things people might not expect me to listen too. Chet Atkins (Amazing country guitarist, AMAZING!!!!), Jerry Reed (another great country guitarist), Prince, I also like silly keyboard riffs like The Beverly Hills Cop theme song and Salt N Pepas Push It hahahaha. Too much info:rolleyes:

I meant to also say that if you like prog rock and metal check these guys out. They are always a blast to play with!!!

Oh snap cain, this music is so downtuned yet melodic, it's amazing. Totally the sound I am digging atm.

Man, the east coast is really cranking out some amazing ahead of its time shit right now. Anyways, this is good stuff, I really like it.

How is that demo coming? I can't wait to hear a tighter version of some of your band's releases.

Followed by:

Heavens
Face to Face
Bad Religion
The Decendents
Bouncing Souls
The Pietasters

I feel incredibly old and "out of it" as I dont know who the heck most of those bands are. Sigh.

Well, I may as well let my old-fart-flag fly!

My playlist at the moment includes:

Led Zepplin
ZZ Top
Rolling Stones
Rush
Metallica
The Police
Paul Okenfold
Pink Floyd
Joe Satriani
Seb Fontaine
Rob Zombie
Sting
Cold Play
Eurythmics
U2

I like similar music to sandrachameleon.

But right now one band I like and think are very talented is:
ALTERNATE ROUTES

I just got to see these guys and they rock. Use some unique guitar playing and a toolbox filled with chains that shook the place on a couple of tunes.
Worth checking out.

I thought you might like it;) They are pretty cool guys too. THe drummers brother used to drum for one of the old bands I was in. These guys will put you in a trance when playing live! It seems there is and has been a lot of music like this come from Maryland and other parts around here. I hear we definatly have a good scene for the prog stuff. Too bad its not so big on the music I play though.

We are trying to get a guy that did a recording for Final Redemption (on our top friends) but he is on hiatus:( Hes really cheap but really good. Check out aberrancy, I did a guest solo for that song. We are trying to get the guy to just record us but we may have to find someone else. We will see. We have a show tonight with The wretched and With in the ruin. Both on Virctory records. Maybe they will want to record us;) Ill keep you posted.

Sandra!!! I can get down to some of those bands:D Especially Satriani. I grew up listening to classic rock.
