wow he is very young.. he looks good, congrats!

Thanks!:) Yeah but right now I'm not 100% sure if "he" is a male, because I can't see any spur on his foot. And sorry about the crappy pics, took them with my cell phone. And yes he is very young, I think a little over a month now, got him when he was 2 weeks:eek:. But yeah he is doing great:):D

The absence of a tarsal spur is a 100% indication of a veileds sex. I have a female veiled and i will assure you from the pics, its a girl.

if you can't see the tarsal spur, even at that age, it's a girl.
i got my boy when he was 6 days old and you could indentify it was a male then, after the breeder showed what I was looking at.
Congrats anyway! :)
Cheers
Scott.

Pretty girl :)

She is a pretty girl. You would have been able to see the little spur on the hind feet long ago if it was a boy. So what are you going to call her? Since it is a girl you have to make sure you are really clear on what her needs will be and the timing of them. It will be more than two months before she will lay eggs. Have you visited Brad Ramsey's site? Congrates on your pretty one :)

Soon, soon, soon The article specific to female care will be published!!!
I promise.:)
We're just trying to make sure it is as complete as possible.
There is great info in it!
I'll let you know (should be in the next couple of days or so.)

Nice girl! I recently got hold of my 6 week old male, such an interesting little guy, with a quite different behavior to the local chameleons in Cape Town, a species I am well used to. He took his first dramatic bite (so funny) out of a leaf yesterday. That single bite marked leaf I'll keep for the memory :D

Thank PardalisGirl:) Her name is Flash, but that was before if I knew if she was a male or female. Should I change it? I think it's kind of funny though because how slow she moves that her name is Flash. Should I name her Flashy?:D

I think thats a cute name, either way, Flash or Flashy :) Both good names. As long as you have a laying spot in her cage around the time she gets to be 5 months you should be okay. I don't think she would get eggs before then, but if you want to be safe put a laying spot in sooner.

Good luck with her!
