My beardie egg is hatching!

The beardie egg I got along with my veiled eggs a few days ago is hatching as I type! May I present.....Pogona! (Pogo for short)

This little guy is my first ever egg to hatch. May many more follow.

I got the egg from a local who was moving- I also got 16 veiled eggs from him and my two newest panthers, a Sambava male and ambilobe female.

He is a good guy and I have met his adult beardies which were in great condition.

Here are the rest of the hatching photos- I will take some of Pogo later on today- he is still in the incubator and we are working on getting a tank set up for him (I have totally decided (s)he is a boy- and no, I will not listen to reason)

He is supposed to be a "lemon" color type, BTW. I love how purple his back looks. Too bad they change colors as they mature- baby beardies are very bright!
