my cham age

im wondering if anyone can give me an estimate of how old my cham might be. the first pic was taken today on 7/30/2012. the second picture was taken 5/6/2012. if i could get an estimate of how old he is, i can then know what kind of changes i should make for his feeding and powdering and temp.

Since his casque has grown I would say any where from 8-10 months old (if he is growing at an average pace. He could be younger or older though.) How long have you had him?

the second picture is basically the same week i got him. i mean i gutload with cricket crack, the calcium fortified water gels, and romaine lettuce and sometimes the small red carrots kids eat. but honestly, i dont even know the crickets eat em or not. i saw that you were supposed to isolate the 10 crickets or whatever amount you're supposed to feed the night before and provide them gutload. but yeah i mean he isnt that small, the casque could be taller, maybe?

just measured him, about 6 inches

I have a 9 month old veiled male and he looks about the same size (going by the size of his casque) as your 2nd picture! Your 1st picture shows a fairly developed (tall) casque so I'd say, from my observation you're guy is going on a year old!!

hmm i am pretty positive that he's not a year old because i have seen one year olds an they are alot bigger and have much higher casques. when i first got him off a guy on craigslist, he told me the cham was already almost a year old (the 2nd picture). and after asking around on the forum i was told that he is only around 4-6 months old since he had a small casque and basically no patterns. so, hmm i am willing to put mine, right now, in the ball park of 9 months old.
