You never cease to amaze me Jann. What a good thing you do.

Thank you Janet! I truly love these animals and it makes me sad to see them ill. I care allot about all chameleons but veileds are very special to me and the little girls have a very special place in my heart.

I am so glad that you took her to the vets.
I'll be keeping her in my prayers.

Is it posible to be unable to lay eggs because of the damage? Or maybe her eggs were smashed inside when she fall?Im really really worried for her.

It would be helpful if you could post the x-rays so we can see how the eggs look.

I'll post the picture as soon as I can, that would be tommorow night. Some advices about how should I feed her and how should I hydrate her would be really helpful.

When I have an old or sick chameleon I hand feed them. I try to have soft feeders for them such as silkworms but you could use whatever you have. To give them water I use a plastic eye dropper and slowly drip water on their nose. Be sure to use a plastic dropper and not glass because she could bite down on it and get glass in her mouth.

I have some questions and I'm really scared for her,the vet told me to make the surgery in 1 week if she can't lay the eggs in natural way. What if is too late for her and she is already in trouble and she will die until surgery because she can't lay the eggd natural?help me please, what should I do?and how can I help her to lay the eggs easier?

First I would make sure that you have a real good vet with chameleon experience. How's your girl doing? Showing any improvement from the fall? She may not be able to dig and lay the eggs. You could dig the hole for her. I always dig a hole for my girls and they often use it. Most vets use oxytocin get them to lay. Although is does not always work. Did you get that second opinion?

What kind hole should I dig?I have to stay in another town for 1 more night, in 1-2 days I'll go to the other vet.Im afraid she suffered internal damage inclusive to her eggs :((

Can the soil hold a tunnel? Does she have complete privacy, meaning you are not disturbing her or she can see you? Have you read the link for the video that Jannb gave you? It tells you how to set up the proper bin. If she does not lay, you might have to get surgery to remove the eggs. That might be why she cannot use her back legs and why she fell in the first place.

I m afraid she won't be able to lay eggs with her broken leggs:((.What if she egg-bound for long and will be too late for her untill the surgery?

I doubt the eggs are broken. They are not like chicken eggs, they have some give to them, more a leathery covering with a thin layer of calcium over top.

She might have internal injuries because she was heavily gravid (haven't seen an x-ray so don't know much size/weight of eggs there are).

Did you read the links someone provided about a laying bin? Stuff sticks down into the dirt--they tend to like to lay at the base of plants. At the bottom of the plants, dig some holes at a 45 degree angle about four or five inches deep, maybe two or three inches in diameter. Your laying bin must be deep.

How old is this animal? Do you have a reptile vet?

Is she doing right?she is like 1 year old. Is the best I can provide where I am! What is the maximum time she can stay with the eggs inside untill is in danger?Im praying for her right now.she ate like 3 super worms today, what if she won't poop. I mention she only peed since the fall.

>Does she have complete privacy, meaning you are not disturbing her or she can see you?

She's not going to lay if she knows you keep watching her...

pm our vet on here. Her name is ferretinmyshoes. Ask her to look at them for you and give an opinion. Make sure that soil she is in can hold a tunnel. Did you add some water to it?
