Hello. I'm not really looking for advice. More just support. I'm very heart broken and just want to hear from people that would understand. I've had my Cham for about 2 months. Which doesn't seem long I know but I love her. She has the most amazing little personality. I've been the only person taking care of her. I know that only someone who loves chameleons could understand how I'm feeling. Anyways...... we purchased her from a pet store. Which I'm realizing now was our first mistake. After doing tons of research and spending hundreds of dollars everything was going great. She is only about 3 months old. Beautiful little green girl. My daughter named her Pascal. A week ago I noticed a huge change in her. She wasn't walking very well and seemed very weak. I took her to the vet. They suggested carnivore care which I gave her religiously Atleast 3 times a day. After she wasn't getting any better the decided to test her poop. She came up positive for parasites. She's been on meds for 2 days. I've come to the realization now that she just isn't going to make it. Her color isn't as bright. She's throwing up. She's hardly moving and so very cold. My heart is breaking. I just want someone to tell me that it's not my fault. Someone who understands the love someone could have for such a small grumpy creature. .........

Hello Breanna. I am very sorry to hear about your situation, but don't give up yet. The medication used for parasites is very harsh and she more than likely is throwing up from that. I know the feeling when you are trying everything in your power to help, but nothing seems to be working. I'm truly hoping that everything is going to work out for the best! I am really sorry though...it's a terrible feeling to go through that.

I am so sorry for your pain! It is not easy! It is so hard! It is obvious that you love her! My, it sounds like you gave her a wonderful home! As jpowel86 said, keep hope! Blessings!

Sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel. My chameleon died this morning. Your story is pretty much what happened with my chameleon. I for some strange reason thought she was alive, so I brought her to the vet. She was dead. I felt so stupid and hurt. I think the main problem was getting our chams at a petstore. How can they sell something they know jack about.
