My Chameleon is sick i think. please help...

That's right... your on the right track!

no i was just busy making a new cage trying to fix this.. i can only do what i can now right...

Good for you, you got right to work doing what you can at the given moment. Yes, there is some good advice here for you for a temp/quick fix until you can get them into the Vet, and get your set up situated but sounds like you are working hard on that.

I'd call around and see what Vets are willing to help you out and go from there. Good luck! Hopefully you can get your adjustments done, and get them to the Vet and everything will be fine... let us know how things are going for you & your "Kids"

Thanks guys i just set up the new cage and i am gonna add some pictures. i guess i have done everything i can

I am really glad you are doing everything you can. Sorry that I doubted you, there have just been a lot of sad posts lately where people just don't listen. Hope things turn out well.

Has the chameleon in the corner of the 4th photo been digging around? If its a female its possible she needs to lay eggs. Chameleons can produce eggs even if not mated.

What type of supplements are you using?

Again, where are you from? Getting these animals out into some unfiltered sunlight will really be beneficial to them if you live in an area where it is possible to do so at this time.

In the picture with the cage in it, is that a female digging a hole?

I would clean the old cage out so there is no substrate and set it up for the sick one. You could put some bark "ramps" in the cage so the chameleon can walk up to be under the UVB light but it would be less likely to fall. Its better IMHO to keep them separately even when they are both healthy. The silent stress can cause health issues when two are kept together.

Its important to have an opaque container of washed playsand (min. size of 12" D x 12" x 8") in the cages for any sexually mature females so that they have a place to dig to show you when they need to lay eggs. Veiled females can lay eggs without having mated.

New cage please help

here is the new set up. theres a fan in my kitchen which is creating airflow. is this better>? i showerred the sick one and it moved for a couple mins and now is still back on the ground not moving... the other is totally fine cliimbing around...

i have been feeding crickets and mealworms... crickets coated in Rep - Cal phosphorous free Calcium with vitamin D. they both have sp

Im glad you are deciding to turn things around. A lot of people would just read the replies and realize that some people are quite frustrated with you and never return to see where this post has gone.. Did you see the post about the exo-terra electrolytes or know about pedialyte soaks? Also, I would recommend keeping an eye on the female all night... at least to where you are comfortable thinking she will actually wake up in the morning. If she gains strength back, put a bucket of sand in her cage and keep it semi-moist (non collapsable moist) because she may have to lay eggs. Please keep her hydrated save up to get a proper UVB bulb. If you can afford Marijuana (pipe on the table) and cigarettes, you should be able to meet a few minimum requirements if you can't take her to a vet. But kudos on immediately building a more proper home for her as soon as you read the first few posts of improper husbandry. She may have MBD... I pray for her recovery and if it does not make itself happen, please do more research before you get another pet.

And also, don't feed them as many mealworms as I am assuming you are. Crickets are a good staple, but switch up to silk worms and super worms as well and maybe a few meal worms every 2 or 3 weeks. And also, you haven;'t mentioned gut loading. Are you gut loading your feeders??? Personally made reptile shop gut load as well as some others like Flukers are aacceeppttaabblleeee'ish....., but I would begin using your own recipes of oranges, collard greens, carrots etc. etc.

I really commend you for the work you've done so far. I'd still recommend you take your babies to an exotic vet.

It looks like you have a good start on your cage. It's pretty amazing that you whipped that up so quickly! I'd recommend adding some more branches for your chameleon to climb on - remember they are arboreal creatures! A relatively cheap and easy way to do it is to buy some dowels at a hardware store and cut small holes in the screen and slid them through. You can insert several at different levels and different directions to create lots of places for your chameleon to climb.

Good job building a cage so quickly! Definitely tell you're putting in the effort to help your chams :) Metric in post #14 gave some great advice for making a great mixture to help jump start your cham to hopefully better health.

If you can afford Marijuana (pipe on the table) you should be able to meet a few minimum requirements if you can't take her to a vet.

Maybe Burrainiac suffers from migraines and he needs medicine to help him ease the pain?...

OOk i am trying to give as muc info as i can. There are no electrolytes at the store so i canb use a water down gatorade?

Burraniac, when you get back from the store and give a pedialyte or diluted gatorade bath to your girl, let us know how she seems. i.e. color or even anything you can notice in her energy towards you. She'll need some nice sleep if she's up this late but I hope the electrolytes make her a little more alive tomorrow. : / Keep us posted!
