My Chammy loves silkworms!

I ordered some silkworms from Coastal Silkworms because their Eastern location is here in Florida, he absolutely loves them! Good thing I got some eggs too! :D

The best part is all of my hornworms and silkworms came alive, not even one death in the pods.

I wish mine like them. They would only eat about 1 every 1 or 2 days. I had to put them out for the birds because I didn't know what to do with them..they were running out of food and nobody would eat them  I wish I could have sent them to you :)

could you give me their website, i always order from mulberry but shipping is an arm and a leg, my veild will eat a few silkies a day but not my panther, i just gave some of mine away to people who would use them.

I had some left over silkies and they cocooned, im waiting for the moths to pop out and see if my guy like silk moths!

I kept hearing good things about Mulberry Farms, but your right Lizardlover, the shipping was going to cost me more than the worms themselves if I went through them. That and I got the little silkworm kit to have a place to house them. it was worth the money it's much easier to clean than a rubbermaid thing that I use for all of my other worms.

Is there a west coast supplier for silk/horn/butter etc. worms? Maybe even one in the Northwest?

coastalsilkworms.com and mulberryfarms.com

I am in Portland and have ordered bugs from Georgia Bugs and they came fine so I wouldn't worry too much about shipping them.

Pam at Pam's Chams in Washington also has silkworms available at times. It might be worth calling her if you want to buy a large amount.

My chameleon is a young (approx 4 month) panther. I ordered silkworms and phoenix worms for him. The little guy did not like the silk worms and went out of his way to ignore them. :(
The Phoenix worms on the other hand get eaten within seconds of being offered. :D

coastal silks is the best... i recently ordered 200 and today i counted out 217 and all alive on pick up...im in new jersey and ordered from florida so shippings all good....coastal silks is west coast and east coast...mulyberry farms is ALWAYAS out of what i want...plus i ordered mediums(being 1 inch to 1 1/2 an inch) and they looked like mabey one week olds.....this happened twice...not saying they are always like this, but recently i have been discuraged...on the other hand my 5 month old panther wont let them sit on his branch for more then 30 seconds...toays he ate 4...

My veiled will go out of his way to eat all of his silk worms before touching anything else. I like them myself though (dispite the odd smell) I can feed him worms that I would think are "large" but fit between his eyes and he seems to get them down nice and easy! His hornworms are a whole other issue, to me they feel the same, look the same
(except the color) and yet he won't eat them! I guess they taste bad, I wouldn't know. I am definatly ordering from Coastal Silkworms again, I was really happy with them!
