My Custom Wood Frame DIY Enclosure

Nice Habitat

Great job Frank.
I wish I had the time to copy some of your ideas. I agree it does look like a piece of furniture. Why not put it in the bedroom. Oh, wait are you married like me? That will never fly. LOL

This is really amazing work and I am hoping to achieve something like this in my build (without the background, I'm just gonna use cork for that)

One thing though, is it possible to attach a normal water pump to a timer and then the pump is placed into a tub full of water, connect that pump to tubing and that tubing to mist nozels. Would this work as a misting system?

Reason I am asking is because I am from Europe and Mistking systems would be too pricey to ship. Locally, popular brands include Lucky Reptile, Ferplast, ZooMed and Exoterra. I heard the monsoon system is pretty fault.

Other than that congratulations I am sure your panther will love! :D

It will work if the pump pumps high enough pressure. Higher the pressure the finer the mist. Im using a 5gallon bucket for h2o resovoir and a vibration pump out of. Pasquini home espresso machine 120v that pumps up to 20 bar, thats going to a commercial taste, odor and sediment filter yhen going to m yum mister nozzle. I purchased that at ezmister.com works great im still building so...but hopefully this will help

Thanks guys. Like Volta said, you would need a pump with high enough pressure to push it through the mist nozzles...also, your timer will have to be able to designate multiple times per day. It shouldn't run for long periods...just enough to wet the inside of the enclosure really well. Have to make sure the enclosure has enough time to visibly dry out before it goes off again.
