Hello :) i went to check in my incubator tonight and found a chameleon walking in the tub. I hadnt checked since friday as i didnt expect her/him to hatch for another month. Im putting the cham into her new viv tomorrow morning when it is all warmed up. Ive heard that many different stories and googled that many different things can any one give me any advice for hatchlings going into there viv. like temp i know they need to be a bit cooler then adults so what temp do members on here find best for them ? also do members free load or put them into a cup at side secured ? and the uv light ive heard your suppose to put one in whats been used for a bit so its not strong on there eyes. The main thing im bothered about is the temp as ive read loads different temps any info pls thanks

That is awesome, congratulations!

As for temps and lights, just keep them lower than you would for an adult like you said. I wouldn't place a 10.0 UVB right on top, but they still need UVB so just do things in moderation and see how they react. As for basking, I don't believe they really need one but I would still cast some heat/light to one side of the enclosure so they can warm up a little if necessary.

Sorry still a noob to chameleons as well but that is so cool. Congrats and I hope to one day have some babies as well. Keep us posted!

Could you give us a clue as to what species the babies are? Kinda looks like a veild baby. Care is going to differ according to species.
