I don't think you will find mesh to attach at a pet store. Go to a dollar store or home depot etc, look for hardware clothe(larger squares and the wire is coated), and gutter guard would work too, it only comes in 4-6" wide rolls of 20ft long or so, but super cheap. Grab some zip ties and you're set
