I have 5 babies, and 100 pinhead crickets. I took each baby and showed them where the pinhead crickets are but none of them ate. Aren't they supposed to be hungry? How do I get them to eat?

Baby #5 is alert and basking

Baby #4 is doing the same thing as #3

Baby #3 is alert and sitting in the shade, no eye closing

Baby #2 I am worried about. This is the one I opened the egg sac to because it didn't open on its own- I am concerned it is keeping its eyes closed, the sac never hit the ground which is why I had to open it. It is the smallest of the babies

Baby #1 is mobile and in good spirits

I took a hot knife and cut off the top half of a small cricket container, I put the 100 pinhead crickets inside of there so they don't escape the mesh

Congrats! The best advice I can offer is to raise them individually, and get them cold at night (50-60). No need for heat lamps, just standard t5 uvb. I’ll post some pics of the 20 or so individual cages my wife and I threw together in an afternoon.

Plastic bins from the dollar store, some hot glue and window screen. Please let me known if you want details. Supplementation should be the same as adult jax. Get at least 4 ff cultures and split 2 into 6 immediately. Keep making new cultures every week. Look at been beetles, as well as small roaches like surinams and little Kenyans. Pinheads are great, but that adds up quickly.

I have all 5 together in one cage right now but planned to sell them to the local pet store once they get to 2 months because I can't fit that many chameleons in this apartment. I like the idea of the small cages but I'm worried they will outgrow them quickly. What did you use for plants and substrate inside the containers?

I also dont have a spare ballast and in a pinch spent 250$ at the pet store because I don't have anything else nearby. Didn't think a dollar tree container would suffice. I'm just worried my current ballast wont supply enough uvb to all 5.

Is it normal for them to go to bed early? They are all dark in color and most have eyes closed. It's 4:30 here. I can't tell if they are dark because they are cold or if they are dark because they are tired or because something is wrong.
