I went to the pet store and bought an enclosure and temporary setup for all of the babies. I am removing them as soon as I get the ceramic lamp and uvb bulb/ballast put upBe sure to take them out of moms enclosure ASAP or she will eat them.
Is that a baby or a slug? What do I do about this one?!?!?!View attachment 320686
I opened the sack with the baby inside and it is alive! Is that a baby or a slug?
I have all 5 together in one cage right now but planned to sell them to the local pet store once they get to 2 months because I can't fit that many chameleons in this apartment. I like the idea of the small cages but I'm worried they will outgrow them quickly. What did you use for plants and substrate inside the containers?Congrats! The best advice I can offer is to raise them individually, and get them cold at night (50-60). No need for heat lamps, just standard t5 uvb. I’ll post some pics of the 20 or so individual cages my wife and I threw together in an afternoon.
Plastic bins from the dollar store, some hot glue and window screen. Please let me known if you want details. Supplementation should be the same as adult jax. Get at least 4 ff cultures and split 2 into 6 immediately. Keep making new cultures every week. Look at been beetles, as well as small roaches like surinams and little Kenyans. Pinheads are great, but that adds up quickly.
Were you able to buy culturing supplies? Josh’s Frogs has great media and excelsior!Just ordered a fruit fly culture but it wont be here for about 4 more days and then it's going to take time to get that going.
I bought a little kit from joshs frogs on amazon and that is coming in the mail, I got your message about additional culturing supplies, responded. Thank you very much for the offer, happy to cover shipping. Were you able to buy culturing supplies? Josh’s Frogs has great media and excelsior!
