My New Little Guy

Looks like I’ll have to do that, and I can’t put him outside either today because it’s rainy. Petsmart and petco have failed me once again and my mom was pretty angry... he can survive a couple days with that lamp right? Until the sun comes back out?
Yes the compact bulb will work very short term, just order the stuff from online...sorry your having trouble...it is expensive to get the setup right but your almost there...really close, so you won’t have to bug your mom too much more soon... good luch

Oh my goodness, he is so adorable:love:! Congratulations :D

Thank you! And @Tucklander hes doing good! The light will arrive on Thursday so he will be fine until then, right now he’s sleeping meaning I have to wake up early everyday from now on, a pain but it’s life and I’ll go the distance to keep him happy and healthy. I also placed super worms in the cage today and let’s just say I’ve never handled live bug feeding and it’s the scariest thing I’ve done but I’m doing it lol! Also I’m not sure if this is normal or not but he has small black markings.

They have patterns and such on their skin, take a pic tomorrow when he’s not sleeping as up close as you can . But way more than likely normal. One day at a time, you seem to be doing great. And you’ll get used to the bugs, the Cham loves and needs them and you like the Cham...so there you go.

Here is a picture I took the other day I got him with the markings so I believe it’s normal as it’s on his head and near his butt. But just as long as the bugs don’t touch me I’m good

You'll get used to the bugs eventually. The superworms can bite, so just be aware of that, but it doesn't hurt. And no, don't believe what you will read on here that you have to remove their head before feeding or they will eat their way out of a chameleon's stomach - that's a stupid rumor! Soon enough you'll see a cricket on the floor that escaped and just grab it with your bare hand, trust me! :D

Oh my I didn’t even think about the super worms doing that! That’s terrifying to think of but I’m glad it’s just a rumor. Anywho I’m glad I have tweezers to handle them right now, a cricket escaped me yesterday and I almost screamed lol. But I’ll get used to it! Hopefully after this light arrives, food is all I’ll be buying now.

UPDATE: So the light is not coming till friday because some payment stuff got messed up (ThAnKs AmAzOn) But he is doing great! he is eating properly as I saw his normal morning poop when I woke up and it looked normal, he right now is chilling on the new sticks I placed in his cage and is active. He has not eaten off the collard greens yet but I can tell he is eating okay. Also whats the best method to keeping super worms in one spot? I put them in his tray and they end up falling really stupidly to the bottom.

Update: mom bought live plants without my knowing and they are safe for him as I looked up, so Im doing an early clean to get rid of the woodchips at the bottom and to put the plants in

Another update: plants and everything clean so I don’t have to touch anything else for two weeks, and these are chameleon safe plants and I surrounded the dirt with lava rocks so he won’t eat the dirt. I feel bad I had to stress the little guy out
