my new panther chameleon modified setup

thanks.im happy with how mine is.i will just cup & hand feed.
btw your setups look great:)

im not getting my cham for a while yet and im getting impatient as i want him sooner.ooh why wont time go faster lol

i want to make sure im fully prepared before the little chap arrives tho.thanks all for advising me.its all appreciated.

i just wanted your opinon.what temp do you think his basking lamp & viv temp be for a 4-5 month old?

i have researched but want to know your views to.

Really nice...can wait to see it planted...

Best ambient temps range from 75-85, with basking temps 85-90
nightime should be ambient 65-75...these are ideal temps. Cages often have hot spots and cool spots, and the cham will usually seek out within the most desirable to there liking.

today i brought a 3 1/2 ft umbrella plant for £15 at my local b&q.
its lovely and a perfect size.
heres a few pics of it in my onsuite bathroom.this room gets the best light due to the celing windows.as the setup is not ready yet.it has a shower in there also so make the warm room and humid.it should do till next week.

Haha found you on here too. You are getting loads of info. Great:)

well not posted for a few days but a few things have changed.
i have now sold the modified setup and brought a 2x2x4 reptibreeze.i felt the other setup i had didnt have enough depth.it was going over and over in my mind so i just decided to sell it.

anyway im happy with my decision.here it is.i will be adding a weeping fig, more fake plants and vines etc .
ive also put hardboard on all 3 sides.i put 3 sets of holes on all sides then threaded plant wire (this is totally safe and not sharp etc)i threaded it through and twisted it on the back.
it made loops on the inside so i used them to secure the vines and covered some with plants also

what do you think?

What is the reason for the hardboard on 3 of the sides? I have the same cage and I am currently gathering all items I need before I get my chameleon.

i live in the uk.not so humid or great weather down here and many people struggle keeping up the humidity so adding hardboard or perspex on the sides helps keep the humidity up longer

well its finally finished
here are a few pics

since my last picture i have added a live weeping fig and some bamboo
got the basking temp sitting between 27 and 27.8 celcius

the ambient is 21.9 celcius

what do you think?

Good space in there. I would consider adding even more foliage and horizontal branches. They really like to have places to hide if they want to. Otherwise, looking nice.

Ignore what I just said above! I didn't see the last photos :D Looks great!! I'm curious, what kind of plant is that in the pot to the right? I type of ficus?
