Looking for a new species of lizard. No, I haven't gotten bored with cresteds rolleyes, my niece has. I figured it could be her own "pet" for when she visits. She has been hands on with the cresteds, but keeps, saying "Brina you need a new 'aminal'" I wouldn't mind trying another species of lizard, either.
I was thinking of getting a Cuban Knight Anole, but they seem to need a lot of space and a lot of handling(?) Also seems to be hard to find CB.
Basically, what I'm looking for is something along these lines:
-Friendly with children (I can work with the animal if needed).
-Doesn't need temps over 100
-Has similar care to a crested gecko (temps of the room this animal will go into is 76-79 during the day, 68-72 at night. Humidity is always at least 40%.)
-Can live in something smaller than 30 gallons (although I do have a 50 gal for when it gets older if need be).
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be grateful. I would prefer to not get another crested or Rhacodactylus in general, because I would prefer to keep my mother sane.
Thanks!
