Im back form the vet! turns out she has coccidia.
i got some meds for that, and 2 shots.
looks like its not MBD after all!
it was from a lack of calcium thing also from the coccidia.
I knew we would get everything all sorted out!:D:D:D:D:D:D

she can lay eggs from about 6 months on not a year like one of the other members posted. Just so you know!

How did the vet determine it wasn't MBD? I don't think calcium deficiencies causes coccidia. Could be from her feeders or a number of different things.

He said it wasnt mbd, because they did a fecal sample and found coccidia. he said coccidia can block the absorbing of calcium and d3.
he called is calcium something... lol im a scatterbrain.
she got a d3 and calcium shot.

metabolic bone disease can be cause by many different things. coccidia blocking calcium from entering the bones is certainly plausible. if that is what the problem was, you should see positive results within a week and a half

Please fill in the how to ask for help form taht was posted here. While you were able to get a vet to help you with the coccidia, you may still have other husbandry issues that need to be managed to prevent the development of mbd or any other issues. Fill in the form, and we will help you get your habitat set up so that you and your cham are happy together!
