My turn with the B. transvaalense

Yesterday Nicole and I met Chris at the shop to pick out our B. transvaalense. We ended up with 2.2 as well, however after arriving home and placing them in their cages, one female went downhill fast and passed this morning. We are very upset, especially because it was a female. But, life happens and we must move on and hope the best for tomorrows children.

I did grab a few pics of the others looking very nice...

This is the smaller male

One of the female

The other male didn't photograph well. It seems the camera was losing focus, so I'll have to take a few with AF off.

Luis,

It was nice meeting you and Nicole yesterday!

Sorry again to hear about the second female. That second male of yours is a stunner though. One of my males was showing the orange stripe bordered by black bars a little today but not quite as vibrant as that.

Is there a rule where you have to be able to take awesome pictures to be able to keep Bradypodion chameleons?

If so I am in trouble. :D

Great pics, sorry to hear about the female.

Bummer about the female... :( was there any gaurantees from AA? For what you guys paid, I would hope so.

Congratulations on the both of you and good luck in establishing a Yankee Breeding Colony. :)

Thanks Chris,

I think that second male is particularly "randy". He's been bobbing his head at the sight of any of the others, especially the female. He's also been roaming but doesn't seem stressed. The female certainly wanted nothing to do with him but tolerates the first male in the cage without any signs of stress at all.

Ryan,
No rule yet, but if you post a bunch of fuzzy iPhone pictures, we may have to revisit that topic. :p

Amy,
I'm not too worried about it. I'm in contact with them and we're working something out. Since I hand selected the ones we took, I didn't think they would do anything about it. But, I've already received word from them and it's more positive than not.

This sort of stuff happens from time to time. I don't think any of us serious keepers can say we haven't had our share of poor luck in the past.

Thanks,

Luis

They look great Luis! Sorry to hear about the one female. Im sure a lot of us know about bad luck. Its part of the hobby and I am glad to see you arent letting it get to you too bad. I am excited to share notes on the Bradys with you and everyone else. Wednesday proved to be a very good day indeed.

To bad for your female! I hope the others will do fine. The color of the second male is amazing!

Congrats with those nice animals!

So at least 4.3 is sold to people who care about them.

Steven

That last picture is just increbible!! What a beautiful chameleon. maybe for me in a few years and lots and lots more expierence with the little guys. Keep the pictures coming.

Hey everyone,

I just started my vacation today and finally had some free time to get a few new pictures.... They're both of the males for now, since the female doesn't appreciate the camera at all.
